Distant silhouette of a guitar on a warm horizon, reflecting the journey and emotion of Neil Mukherjee’s Shudoorey.

Shudoorey

There is a place beyond the horizon where sound and soul intertwine. Shudoorey, meaning “far, far away” in Bengali, takes us on a journey to that space. Composed by Neil Mukherjee, this powerful guitar piece draws from Charukeshi, a profound raga in the Carnatic music tradition.

Through dynamic strumming, intricate phrasing, and expressive guitar technique, Neil brings together several musical languages into one cohesive voice. Shudoorey is more than a composition. It is an exploration of emotion and structure where the rhythmic energy of the guitar meets deep introspection. It bridges tradition with a forward-looking spirit.

Written by Neil himself, it is a celebration of musical convergence. A space where raga, harmony, and guitar unite. And where each note reaches toward something far away and timeless.

A place of music where new ideas, sounds and arts comes to light. Here noise becomes sounds and notes becomes harmonies. The factory studio is based in Sardinia but the project is extended all over the world.
